I was so surprised when I found some excellent parenting ideas from, you'll never guess, an appliance manufacturer! Yes, Kenmore, has some great ideas to help you with your family: The Younger Set Help them set up a stand to sell lemonade or handmade crafts, such as beaded jewelry. Recruit them during large chores, like weeding the garden, and pay them per project. Tweens Let them take over laundry duties with a wash and fold service, and pay them by hours worked. Assign them a plot in the garden where they can grow herbs and vegetables to sell once full grown. Teenagers Encourage them to start a babysitting, dog walking or yard work service for trusted neighbors and friends. Let them turn recycling into a profitable pastime by collecting cans and exchanging them for change. LIFE SKILLS Give your kids the tools they need to get the most out of their jobs.
