Camping can be so fun and exciting. You can enjoy the outdoors, animals, insects, trees, swimming, hiking, and especially cooking out. Cooking food over the hot fire can be fun to do with your friends and family. You can make meals, snacks, and best of all desserts! Not everything has to be over the fire, there are some quick and easy camping snacks and meals too.
A good snack for camping is fruit salad. Just bring a lot of fruit with you in a cooler, and cut it up, mix it all together, and it's ready to eat. You can dip fruit in yogurt, whipped cream, peanut butter, or even chocolate. The only downfall to this snack is it's so sweet, and might attract some bugs. Light some candles, spray some buy spray, and eat away. Dried fruit is another way to go; it is much easier to eat, and store. Some good fruits are dried bananas, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, peaches and more.
Another easy to make, and easy to store food for camping is peanut butter. You can make peanut butter sandwiches, spread it on crackers, or even cookies. For dinners you can heat things over the fire, like hot dogs, and burgers, or you can make cold meat sandwiches. You can also put things into tin foil, and heat them over the fire like vegetables. If you want to make noodles, or anything boiled, you can get a metal crate that goes over the fire and put a pot on top of it.
